The author of Savannah Heat will talk about the pros and cons of ePublication, share facts about market growth, where to find the right publisher, where to check out publisher integrity, and how to track royalties. Ethos Design Lecture: Cameron Tonkinwise. October 7, 7:30 p.m. Lucas Theatre, 32 Abercorn St. $15. Involved in the Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability at Parsons, Tonkinwise will discuss creating sustainable societies and his current work on amplifying creative communities.

Ethos Design Lecture: Terry Irwin. October 8, 7:30 p.m. Lucas Theatre, 32 Abercorn St. $15. Irwin will discuss our relationship with the unsustainable, consumption driven economy, and the need for designers to look beyond tradition for new information and understanding about designing for relationships.

Author Patricia Andres. October 14, 7 p.m. Books-a-Million, 8108 Abercorn St. Free. Andres is writing the biography of a person living with three chromosomes. Her transgender subject, Crystal (aka Robert), will attend. Pat will briefly outline the work in progress. Both will take questions from the audience. Critique will follow.
