During the Jan. 20 Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C., Vice-President Kamala Harris – the first woman, first African American, and first person of South Asian descent to fill the second-in-command Executive Branch role – was wearing purple attire designed by Christopher John Rogers, a 2016 BFA graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design. According to Harper’s BAZAAR, Vice-President Harris chose to be sworn in while wearing the elegant outfit by Rogers accessorized with pearls by Puerto Rican-American designer Wilfredo Rosado.
