The Department of Refuse Disposal provides solid waste processing and disposal services for City of Savannah Departments, residents of the City of Savannah, and paid subscribers residing in the unincorporated areas of Chatham County. Commercial waste, including waste generated from the management of rental property, is not accepted. Our waste acceptance and prohibited waste exclusion policies are covered in more detail below. The Department of Refuse Disposal reserves the right to reject any waste material which may be determined not to meet these criteria or which may be deemed by its characteristics to be unsuitable for handling at our facilities.
