My Brothaz HOME, Inc. (MBH) is a grassroots community-based organization located in Savannah, Georgia. The organization was founded in April 2000 in direct response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Savannah. The Southeast health district, which includes Chatham (Savannah) & Effingham counties has the second highest number of reported AIDS cases in Georgia. The majority of these cases are African American men. My Brothaz HOME is the only community-based organization outside the Atlanta metropolitan area operated and governed by people of color for men. Prior to MBH, no organization existed outside the Atlanta metropolitan area to provide culturally sensitive on-going HIV prevention, education and supportive services to men of color.
