Drab Majesty, Boy Harsher, Pyramid Club @The Jinx

IN Drab Majesty, Deb DeMure—the androgynous alter-ego of L.A. musician Andrew Clinco—creates gothic post-punk sounds reminiscent of Sisters of Mercy and The Cocteau Twins. Most recently, Drab Majesty released 'Oak Wood,’ available for vinyl order through Dais Records. Written after the Ghost Ship warehouse fire in Oakland, "Oak Wood" is written in honor of Cash Askew, whose life was lost in the tragedy. "Egress," the release’s B-side, is an elegant, instrumental guitar piece. Live performance is crucial to Drab Majesty as an art form—with DeMure’s presence, body language and melodies, it’s an engrossing experience.

Pyramid Club features Chris Daresta (Anticipation, DKA) and Matt Weiner (TWINS, DKA) making primitive body music, released on Atlanta’s DKA Records.

Formed in Savannah, Boy Harsher is now based in the Northeast and continues to make fascinating EBM as a duo. A new EP, ‘Country Girl,’ is due on October, with preorders currently available.
