The Difference Machine

ATLANTA'S psychedelic rap machine returns for a show you won’t soon forget.

Before forming The Difference Machine, emcees DT and Dr. Conspiracy were both active in the Atlanta music scene (Dr. Conspiracy with Zone 7, Expatriots, and Lee Harvey Oswald, DT with Clan Destined). The two knew each other from beat battles and hip hop open mics, but didn’t collaborate until a keen-eyed promoter took it upon himself to book them as a duo. At that performance—opening for Kool Keith, no less—the presumed one-off gig was met with widespread praise. After the show, DT and Dr. Conspiracy put their heads together to establish what would become The Difference Machine.

The group’s live show is an unrivaled, immersive experience. With drums, a DJ, effects, bass, sound engineers, and visuals, the group aims for audiences to transcend and enter a new level of consciousness while enveloped in their music.

The Difference Machine hits town fresh off the release of their second full-length record. The 4th Side of the Eternal Triangle, released June 24 via Atlanta’s Psych Army Intergalactic Records, shows the band taking innovative strides with samples, cerebral lyricism, and creative rhythms. The album is available on 12” vinyl, cassette, and CD.

Dope KNife represents Savannah on the bill.
