Capsula, Wye Oak, Future Islands, J Roddy Walston & The Business, Oberhofer and Wild Child are among the “buzz bands” added to the lineup for the 2014 Savannah Stopover, which will encompass more than 100 shows in downtown Savannah March 6, 7 and 8.

Peelander-Z, a costume-wearing, New York-based Japanese “action comic punk” band, is also on board (they’re currently looking for a drummer, according to the band’s website. The potential rhythmatist would have to wear the “Peelander Green” costume). They're plugged-in Power Rangers.

The punk trio Capsula, consisting of three Argentineans living in Spain, performed at Dollhouse Productions in November.

Other international bands confirmed for Stopover are Public Service Broadcasting and Esben & The Witch (UK), Canada’s July Talk, Sean Nicholas Savage, The Belle Game and Sierra, plus Sweden’s Mary Onettes and Norway’s Jagged Vision.

Released just today, the final lineup for the ’14 Stopover includes Dega, a new project featuring Kalen Nash of Stopover favorite Ponderosa, and Curtin, a new one with Country Mice frontman Jason Rueger – another longtime Stopover band.

Wye Oak, Future Islands, J Roddy Walston & The Business, Bear Hands are all scheduled to play California’s sold-out Coachella Festival in April.

Although the final day-and-time schedule is still being worked out, the full lineup of performers – along with all ticket information - is available at www.savannahstopover.com.
