IT'S NOT quite a live performance, but a cross-generational array of record collectors and David Lynch fans will flock to Graveface Records on Tuesday to score the coveted Twin Peaks soundtrack, available for the first time in 25 years.
Death Waltz Recording Company announced the reissue earlier this year. Angelo Badalamenti’s influential score is as eerie and strangely beautiful as it was the day it premiered.
Death Waltz has created a beautiful product housed in a 435gsm gatefold sleeve with lyrics and liner notes by Badalamenti. The album artwork, inspired by The Waiting Room’s zig-zag floor from the series, makes for a minimal yet immediately recognizable cover.
The first pressing is completely sold out online—so if you didn’t have an excuse to shop local before, now you do! Graveface will spin the album while serving hot coffee and cherry pie (Special Agent Dale Cooper’s favorite, of course), and they’ll be giving away a free copy of the vinyl to one lucky attendee.
