STRIVING to keep it as honest and organic as possible, the Kenny George Band clocks in about 150-180 shows a year connecting with audiences throughout the United States.
George, who grew up playing bass and guitar, finds inspiration in classic roots rock, outlaw country, and Southern California singer-songwriters like the Eagles and Jackson Browne. After studying classical guitar at University of Montevallo, George began writing songs, eventually meeting drummer Bucky Brown and starting a band together. Upon moving to Aiken, South Carolina, the two linked up with pedal steel player Center Ely, bassist Brooks Andrews, and guitarist Scott Rankin.
The band released an album, Borrowed Trouble, in 2017. With Southern flair, a beating rock ‘n’ roll heart, and a songwriter’s focus, it’s sure to appeal to fans of a myriad of genres.
