Minorcan

GET READY for some gritty and melodic rock ‘n’ roll at El-Rocko—for free!

A perfect fit for El-Rocko’s throwback vibe, Minorcan boasts vintage influences with playful glee and lo-fi charm. The band calls itself “basement stadium rock,” and it suits. Big sounds erupt in a contained space, and the guitar hooks and choruses are sure to get stuck in your head for days. With roots in Austin, the band now resides in Asheville. Their Texas origins show through in the form of tight musicianship and quirky flair, while their new home, the more woodsy, warm side to the band. In a way, it’s a Savannah return; guitarist/vocalist Ryan Anderson graduated from SCAD in 2004!

Savannah band McLeod has been making waves lately with several appearances around town. Their dreamy, lo-fi psych rock fits nicely with a variety of bills.
