An acoustic show with singer/songwriters Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt has been added to the Savannah Music Festival lineup. Tickets, $35-$65, go on sale Friday for the March 24 concert in the Trustees Theater.
Other just-announced SMF additions includes Seattle indie rock darlings The Head & the Heart (Sub Pop Records), March 22 at the Lucas Theatre (tickets are $22-$40, with Justin Townes Earle opening); and a Lucas show by the 13-member jazz/pop "orchestra" Pink Martini March 29 ($30-$70).
A three-day run of Here to Stay: The Gershwin Experience is set for April 2-4 at the Charles H. Morris Center. It is, as you might expect, a celebration of the music of George and Ira Gershwin, utilizing multi-media and featuring singer/pianist Kevin Cole, vocalist Sylvia McNair and tap dancer/singer Ryan Vandenboom. There are six performances to choose from; tickets are $40.
All tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at savannahmusicfestival.org.
