Led by Elise Okusami, Oceanator is a compelling indie rock outfit that brings smart songwriting and Pixies-esque angular guitar work to the forefront. They’d fit in nicely on a bill with today’s leading buzz bands Snail Mail and Soccer Mommy, but they also border on My Bloody Valentine-esque shoegaze at their best moments.
