Burger Records artists Pink Mexico are a trio of melodic rockers wielding fuzz pedals and sass. Robert Preston, the brains behind the project, may be a familiar face to Savannah Stopover fans, having played drums with Brooklyn’s Shilpa Ray. Pink Mexico’s Burger debut, Fool, was released this June, and boasts hefty guitar drenched in reverb with surf tendencies and a certain seasoned maturity that's refreshing to discover in the garage-pop scene.
Savannah’s Twisty Cats and Kewl share the bill. Kewl is the solo endeavor of Wet Socks drummer John Zimmerman. Frontman Zimmerman is supported by an array of familiar faces, including Daniel Lynch (Cray Bags, Sunglow, Greta O. and the Toxic Shock) on drums, Derek Lynch (Cray Bags, Greta O. and the Toxic Shock) on guitar and Samford Justice (Breakers) on guitar. Zimmerman has a number of recordings as Kewl to dig into on Bandcamp (kewl.bandcamp.com).
