The Rev is back! Psychobilly legend Reverend Horton Heat returns to The Jinx to kick start your week.

The three-man band rose to cult fame in the 1990s for humorous, highly-entertaining shows and smokin’ riffs. With Jim “Reverend Horton” Heath on guitars and vocals, bassist Jimbo Wallace, and Arjuna “RJ” Contreras on drums, the sound is equal parts country and punk rock with swing, big band, and surf influences.

Over the years, the band has released acclaimed albums through Sub Pop, Interscope, Yep Roc, and Victory Records. Reverend Horton Heat has been coming through town for a while now, and it’s always a good time for a “Psychobilly Freakout” at The Jinx.

The Rev is joined by western swing/country boogie band Big Sandy. Formed in the late 1980s, Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys has a new all-acoustic album, What a Dream It’s Been, available now.

Tuesday, June 26, doors at 9 p.m., show at 9:30 p.m., $25 via ticketfly.com, 21+
