Stop Light Observations

"TRANSFORMATIONAL rock" band Stop Light Observations returns to Savannah. The Charleston-based group continues to grow and tour the Southeast with its dynamic take on indie rock. From holding the record for most consecutive sold-out shows at Charleston’s Music Farm to earning new fans at Bonnaroo, Summerfest, and Firefly, the band has come a long way since their first gig as teens on Sullivan’s Island.

2016’s Toogoodoo got the band national recognition with its balance of delicately built, melodic arrangements and stadium-rock riffs. Stop Light Observations followed the success of their second album with ‘Vol. 1,’ an EP released on September 8. The three-song release shows the band enjoying subtleties and rich layers. “coyote,” which starts with gentle piano, stretches into a jam with anthemic lyrics created for audience participation.

Atlanta’s Hedonistas joins the bill with a fusion of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, and blues.
