Terror Vision, a horror soundtrack imprint of Savannah-based Graveface Records, will release the soundtrack of the 1989 sci-fi/horror/comedy film The Return of Swamp Thing. The Return of Swamp Thing was filmed in Savannah and starred Dick Durock, Heather Locklear, and Louis Jourdan. In the movie, The Swamp Thing returns to battle Dr. Arcane, a scientist with a lab full of creates transformed by genetic mutation. Filming locations throughout Savannah included Oatland Island Wildlife Center’s main building and Ledbetter Pond. The film was released one year after sightings of a “lizard humanoid creature” were reported in South Carolina. The soundtrack was composed by Chuck Cirino, a horror composer who is credited on 75 films. He’s also acted as a cinematographer, director, producer, and more. the audio has been pulled from the original tapes and remastered. The never-before-released soundtrack, which includes liner notes from director Jim Wynorski, will be offered on 180 gram black as night and swampy green(ish) vinyl.
