CMT Edge has called them "one of the most promising bands on the bluegrass scene," and they’re heading our way. The Barefoot Movement brings their Nashville sound to Bloomingdale this weekend.

The band began when fidler Noah Wall met mandolinist Tommy Norris in high school. After studying music in college (Wall at East Tennessee State’s Bluegrass, Old-Time and Country Music program, Norris at Western Carolina University for Classical Music and Recording Engineering), the band kicked off their shoes and began taking on the old time scene.

Seven years into their career, the four-piece plays delicate, emotive arrangements and high-energy boot stompers with equal passion. As International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2014 Band of the Year, it’s sure to be an entertaining show to remember.
