THE brainchild of Bryan Rucker (son of Bee Gee Steve Rucker) and stepbrother Ryan Bars, The Norm is anything but normal. Singer-songwriter Rucker combines his compositional skills with Bars’ rapping abilities to make a sound that’s pop, rock, funk, reggae, and hip-hop all at once.

Miami native Rucker moved to Milledgeville in 2012 to shoot a show for TLC; Bars followed, and in 2014, the duo was catapulted into the public eye through their successful appearance at Deep Roots Music Festival.

The Norm’s second EP, 2016’s Normaltown, was recorded in Nashville by Cartel frontman Will Pugh, who also acted as the record’s producer. With up-tempo acoustic guitar and husky vocals that break for Bars’ rhymes, their reggae beats and breezy arrangements will appeal to fans of jam, fusion, and early-in-the-festival kind of acoustic rock.
