DJ OB1-Benobi honored Prince long before the beloved icon’s death. His Purple Parties have delighted fans throughout the U.S. thanks to Benobi’s massive collection of videos, lost tracks, and deep love of The Purple One.

June’s Purple Party features a costume contest with WTOC’s Cyreia Sandlin and The Imprincenator acting as celebrity judges.

As classic hits, B-sides, and tunes from Prince’s protégés pour through the speakers, attendees will celebrate the release of the official Purple Party beer. A tart blackberry Hefweizen, the beer will be on tap alongside Service’s favorite year-rounds, seasonals, and limited releases. A portion of beer sales will benefit Service’s summer charity. Come hungry, too—Chazito’s Latin Cuisine food truck will be dishing out scrumptious mains and sides outside.

June 7 would have been Prince’s 60th birthday—what a better way to celebrate than by boogieing and raising a (local) toast in his honor?A portion of ticket sales will benefit the Honor Our Heroes Foundation.
