RICHMOND'S The Southern Belles return to Savannah with psych swagger steeped in American rock 'n’ roll tradition.
The road warriors have traversed the country with extensive tours and festival appearances. Congress Street Social Club welcomes them back to downtown Savannah; this time, the band has some fresh faces. Drummer Aaron Zarrow of The Royal Noise (formerly based right here in Savannah, now of Philadelphia) has joined vocalist/guitarist Adrian Ciucci, bassist/vocalist Andrew Carper, and keyboardist/vocalist Tommy Booker to electrify the Belle sound.
Their latest album, 2015’s Close To Sunrise, is characterized by swoony barroom piano, big melodies, psychedelic billows, groovy guitar riffs, and beats that will have you nodding along and swinging those hips.
