Voice Boxx: The Limit of Our Sight @Unitarian Universalist Church of Savannah
ConnectSavannah Import Default Image

On Thursday, Unitarian Universalist Church will facilitate talks about death in an intentional and nonjudgmental setting. At 6 p.m., the community is invited to sip coffee and tea, eat cake, and talk about mortality in order to increase awareness of death and make the most of the time we have here on earth.

After the discussion, Voice Boxx, a small, project-based choir here in Savannah, will raise its voices to sing songs about death, grief, and hope. With songs from artists like the Indigo Girls, Vince Gill, Stephen Sondheim, P!nk, The Wailin’ Jennys, and Carly Simon, there’s something for a variety of musical palettes.

The choir, directed by Rebecca Flaherty, includes Allison Drinkard, Amanda Jeter, Brittany Jelinski, Dan Flaherty, Emily Richardson-Dion, Gwendolyn Flaherty, Jamie Arkins, J.J. Collins, Kelly Adams, Kelly Carlile, Kristin Pair, Megan Wellman Blanton, Nicole Koplik, Robin Lonscak, and Shannon Willhite. They will be accompanied by pianists James Richardson and Megan Blanton and guitarist/banjoist Bill Smith.

Thursday, November 2, 7:30 p.m., free, all-ages
