A WEST END MOTEL show is a beautifully chaotic evening of rock 'n’ roll, camaraderie, booze, and high spirits. The Atlanta band, brainchild of Brent Hinds of Mastodon and Tom Cheshire of All Night Drug Prowling Wolves, plays rock 'n’ roll with a bleeding punk heart and The Pogues, The Clash, Tom Waits, and Thin Lizzy as touchstones. The band just released a highly-anticipated third album, Bad with Names, Good with Faces..., available for digital download, CD and LP. The new album swings, laced with saxophone and Cheshire's impassioned lyrics.
West End Motel is joined by Atlanta’s Blood on the Harp. The Americana/folk band spins stories of death and the macabre with harmonies, strings, and a memorable live performance.
Brooklyn’s own An English Place rounds out the bill with a unique blend of pop, indie, rock, and power-pop.
Friday, December 29, doors at 9 p.m., show at 10 p.m., $10, 21+
