The Black Diamond Heavies

Raw Nashville duo injecting VU and Tom Waits into their Hound Dog Taylor-esque punk-blooze. Sat., 11 pm, The Jinx.

The Coworkers

The latest offshoot from the Dope Sandwich gang, a collective of Savannah-based rappers, funk musicians and spoken word artists. This show is said to include Knife (supporting his new album 2000 Yard Stare), Basik Lee (supporting his new mixtape A Bunch of Crazy Sh!t) and Righteous The Poet as well as DJs Life and Valis. This Broughton St. restaurant/bar has become a key local venue for alternative hip-hop. Sat., 10 pm, Tantra Lounge.

David Flannery

Ruby James
