The Jacey Falk Trio
This local boy logged some serious time in the NYC jazz world before returning to his hometown. During that time, the scat vocalist worked with a handful of legendary artists – such as Ruth Brown – and now he leads his own regional combo. Thurs., 8 pm, The Mansion on Forsyth Park.
Full Black Out
Slinky, Tallahassee, Florida groove band featuring overdriven mouth harp. Their swampy blooze bit is a tad affected at times, but they play well as a unit, and are aiming for something more than standard-issue Allmans fetishism. Think SRV meets Panic. Sat., JJ Cagney’s.
The Hitmen

Veteran, sweet-voiced pianist and guitarist playing several decades worth of soft rock and pop favorites. Sat. - Sun., 7 pm, AJ’s Dockside (Tybee).
Howard Paul & George Sheck
Paul is generally regarded as one of the finest jazz guitarists in the area. he plays a custom-built 7-string instrument similar to those used by his friend (and mentor) Bucky Pizzarelli. Sheck accompanies him on bass. Fri. - Sat., 7:30 pm, The Jazz Corner (Hilton Head).
The Denny Phillips Band
Long-running area cover band specializing in upbeat, danceable pop and rock hits from the ‘60s through the ‘90s. Their frontman is well-known for his spot-on Neil Diamond routine. Fri. - Sat., 9 pm, The Oyster Bar (Wilmington Island).
