Police have identified a 77-year-old Beaufort, SC, man who died after a one-vehicle crash at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport Thursday.

Stuart Dean was declared dead at Memorial University Medical Center after the 3:26 p.m. crash. His wife, Catherine Dean, was listed in stable condition.

"The couple was leaving the airport in a maroon Nisssan Murano when the SUV accelerated, left the roadway and struck a tree," police say.
