The FBI, with assistance from Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police, is searching for a man who robbed an east Savannah bank this morning.
The robbery occurred just before 9:30 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch, on the 1900 block of East Victory Drive. At that time, an armed man entered the bank and demanded cash from bank employees. Employees complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed sum of cash.
The suspect is described as a light skinned black male, wearing a baseball cap, long-sleeved black shirt, blue shorts, sunglasses and a red bandana around his face. He is 5-10 to 6 feet and 160 to 180 pounds.
