Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team responded to a collision involving a bicyclist and a vehicle at approximately 9 p.m., August 4, near the intersection of Rockdale and Lloyd Streets.

"Reportedly, Ward Brown, 55, failed to stop at a stop sign as he traveled east on Lloyd Street on his bicycle," police say. "A 2009 Scion driven by Margaret Drayton, 22, collided with Brown. Investigators believe Brown’s bike had no reflective lighting."

Brown was transported to Memorial University Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
