The City of Savannah has created a "Confederate Memorial Task Force" to draft recommendations for City leadership concerning the future of Savannah’s Confederate Memorial, located in Forsyth Park.
"As part of that process, the Task Force is seeking public input from Savannah's citizens. The City of Savannah will be accepting input from now through 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017," a city spokesperson says.
The public is encouraged to share their input through an online survey, by mail, or by email. The online survey is accessible at http://www.savannahga.gov/confederatememorial and email can be sent to confederatememorial@savannahga.gov
Mailed comments should be sent to City of Savannah, Confederate Memorial Task Force, PO Box 1027, Savannah, GA 31402.
