Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department’s Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting that reportedly occurred on the 300 block of East 54th Street just before 11 p.m. on April 26.
Investigators responded to Memorial University Medical Center after Gregory Jones, 32, arrived seeking treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
"Police are working to determine the exact location of the shooting. Events resulting in this shooting and the identities of any suspects also remain under investigation. Investigators do not believe this to be a random act," says Eunicia Baker of the SCMPD Public Affairs Office.
