Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Violent Crimes detectives are investigating a shooting of a male that occurred around 11:55 p.m., Aug. 21, in the 300 block of West 37th Street.
Officers responded to the 300 block of west 37th street and found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Memorial University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
"Events surrounding the incident remain under investigation," said Sonny Cohrs of the SCMPD Public Affairs Office.
