No matter how it arranges its 26.2 miles around town, this annual event always brings the party to the pavement. With its super cool swag and live bands at every turn, it’s no wonder that tens of thousands of runners sprint to Savannah to participate. Heat and humidity may have sullied last year’s marathon experience, but this crash course in Southern stamina is here to stay—organizers announced in February that the race will continue at least through 2018.
